An efficient transmission method of adaptive modulation information for grouping adaptive modulation OFDM system

This paper proposes an efficient transmission method for adaptive modulation information (AMI) bits, which is required in the realization of OFDM system with the Grouping Adaptive Modulation technique (GAM-OFDM). The feature of the proposed method is to enable the efficient transmission of AMI bits by using only two preamble symbols. The proposed method employs the Multi-Carrier Spectrum Spread (MC-SS) technique to achieve the excellent performance of AMI bits transmission even under severe multi-path fading environments. This paper also presents computer simulation results to demonstrate the performance of proposed AMI transmission method.
