Airtraq insertion requires dexterity

We read with interest the helpful review by Lu et al. comparing the Airtraq~TM (Prodol Ltd, Vizcaya, Spain) and Macintosh laryngoscopes [1]. We have used the Airtraq laryngoscope for more than 120 patient intubations (elective and emergency) and now teach that it is preferable to introduce the device into the mouth using the dominant hand, rather than the traditional 'scope' (left) hand that is recommended in the manufacturers instructions.
