An Overview of the Research on Heat-integrated Distillation Column (HIDiC)

摘要

The heat-integrated distillation column (HIDiC) to be addressed in this paper is a special distillation column that involves internal heat integration between the whole rectifying and the whole stripping sections. An overview of the research on this process is presented, and it covers from the background of the development to the practical invetigations for the process. Some relevant issues from the viewpoint of process systems engineering are to be stressed and the results of a bench-scale plant experimentation are given in detail. The propsect of the HIDiC and future research work are highlighted.
