Two Ebner Hicon~R pusher-type furnace facilities of the very latest design were recently successfully handed over to production at Shandong Nanshan Light Alloy Co, Ltd in Yantai, China. Each furnace has a capacity of 750t with 25 ingots - some of the largest pusher furnace facilities in the world. The pusher furnaces will be used to process all standard alloys for both homogenisation as well as reheating to rolling temperature and are designed so that another two furnaces can be added at a later stage and be served by the same shared ingot handling system.
