All-Aluminum Audi Supercar Debuts at Paris Auto Show

Three years after the unveiling of the Audi Le Mans quattro concept car, the production version of the new Audi R8 made its debut at the Paris Auto Show in September. At its unveiling, Audi officials forwent the standard press conference, opting instead to let the car speak for itself. The gambit worked: although the exterior styling differs little from that previewed in the Le Mans concept, show attendees were wowed and the supercar earned numerous plaudits, including Auto Week's "Most Significant" award.
