摘要

A physical model of residual elastic stresses occurrence under the Ti and TiN thin-film strengthening coatings deposition on Al substrate has been considered. The values of measured tangential residual stresses occurred in the substrate materials during coatings deposition under different operating ion-plasma spraying conditions are with the results of calculation carried out in the frame of this model.
