摘要

There are concerns about I.I.T. (Instrumented Indentation Test) that ISO 14577-1 and its compliant testers don't offer appropriate values of Young's modulus and hardness. Especially, it lacks verification for a wide range of force, many kind of materials, and conventional hardness such as Vickers hardness. On the other hand, Tangent depth theory and method proposed by the authors have been applied to I.I.T. with Berkovich indenter ranging from 10 mN to 1960 mN and to eleven materials and obtained results agree well with practical values of Young's modulus by tension or compression test and Vickers hardness by conventional hardness test In this technical report, it is applied for Vickers indenter as well in order to verify the effectiveness of the theory.
