摘要

The behavior of monomolecular and ultrathin multilayer films of cyclolinear polyorganosiloxane formed on liquid substrates of polyatomic alcohols was studied by measuring surface pressure as a function of the specific surface area per monomer unit of a polymer.It was revealed that hte pattern of surface pressure isoterm is ndependent of the subphase type but is mostly determined by the mesomorphic nature of a polymer.The thickness of surface films in the region of dense monolayer formation was analyzed.Based on the estimate of the interaction energy between the polymer and ethylene glycol,glycerol,and their mixtures with water,it was concluded that van der Waals forces are primarily responsibile for the formation of monolayers.
