Calibration of dust meters for the working environment control

The present report introduces the calibration work carried out by Japan Association for Working Environment Measurement Accuracy Control Center, for the dust meters used for working environment measurement. Among the calibrated dust meters, compared with the dust meters calibrated for the necessity of carrying out dust concentration measurement under legally authorized special permissions, the calibration of dust meters necessary for ISO authorization and the calibration of dust meters used for tunnel construction tend to increase in number. Recently it is more intimately recognized necessary to maintain the accuracy of dust meters for adequate use of them, and as a result, the existing dust meters are calibrated more frequently than before, while new dust meters are being additionally used. It is considered that for these reasons, the number of calibrated dust meters has increased.
