摘要

The present review described an approach for design of catalyst and catalysis in the petroleum refining, synthesis of feed for pitch based carbon fiber and composites, environmental protection with carbon materials, catalyst deactivation and plugging, and growth of carbon nano fibers through observing interactions between catalyst and catalysis. In addition, the correlation between the composition and structure of catalysts and their performances and functions can suggest the working mechanisms, where the feed, products, hopefully intermediates and catalytic functions which link such substrates are described on molecular levels. Such correlations allow us to propose the improvement of catalysts and catalysis. Furthermore, catalytic functions of novel materials and materials composites are similarly analyzed to collect more experience and data-base, which are certainly useful to provide more clues for solutions of problems which we will meet in the industries.
