Saft fights JCI move to end battery jv

Saft SA will challenge an attempt by Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI) to dissolve the companies' joint-venture lithiumion motive battery business due to a clash over the direction of the operation. The Bagnolet, France-based company said it will oppose JCI's filing asking Delaware Chancery Court to end the Johnson Controls-Saft Advanced Power Solutions LLC venture, which was created in 2006 to develop and manufacture lithium-ion motive batteries.
