Agrobacterium genes transfer (LGV 3850/pGL Tr4, A281/pGV 941tt, A4[pRiA4]) has an effect on qualitative and quantitative morphophysiological and biochemical characters of Medic. ago transformed plants. Transformed plants have differences in the habitus of aboveground part shoot structure, average length of shoot, type of branching, crude protein, average length of internode, average number of internodes. As a result of transformation number of shoots in the bush changes, growth phase of transformed plants becomes longer comparing to control plants. Genetical transformation modifies root system and is accompanied by changes in its weight. Difference in the ability to form roots was found. Indexes of male and female generative spheres and morphology of reproductive organs vary widely. It was established that seed formation process depends on qualitative and quantitative characters of pollen and ovule physiological conditions. We suppose that there exists a "fruitage factor" which has an important effect on the Medicago seed production. Transformed plants differ in free proline content, crude protein, chlorophyll and carotenoid content.
