The fate of a 30-million dollars auto shredder plant in New Brunswick is up in the air after the Saint John Common Council nixed the installation of its power supply. American Iron Et Metal Co. Inc. (AIM) last fall announced plans to expand its scrap metal yard at the Port of Saint John by adding a new shredder and downstream equipment to recapture nonferrous metals.
