Psychological evaluation on a house model by a virtual reality system for noise experience

摘要

The virtual reality system using a new earplug type earphone for noise experience has been constructed. This simulator obtains one's feelings of distance and movement as if there are a lot of running vehicles. Moreover, if it is possible to evaluate the effects of transmission loss of some building materials in the planning stage of houses, people can appropriately and economically choose the best materials for sound insulation. In this paper, it was discussed the psychological effects of a house model. From the results, it can be found that the "effective" on transmission loss corresponds to about 30dB of TL.
