摘要

Markets of miniaturized electromagnetic relays are increasing even in the present when electronics devices have rapidly advanced. Keeping contact reliability as well as downsizing has a part of share in their increase also. In this paper, environmental problems in miniaturized relays are paid attention to, the following points are described: i) transition of contacts for electrical communication which are towed by environmental degradation, ii) formation mechanisms and their control methods of contact films which cause environmental degradation and so on.
