摘要

Single-compartment cells constructed from oxide-ion or proton conductors with two electrodes have been applied to three different electrochemical devices. These cells were characterized by the fact that the two electrodes were exposed to the samegas stream. Typical behaviors of such cells as a SOFC (Solid Oxide Fuel Cell), a hydrocarbon sensor and a menbrane reactor for the NO electrolysis were reviewed with their working mechanisms. Their advantages relative to traditional two-compartment cellswere pointed out.
