LOS ANGELES - Flat-rolled steel prices on the West Coast are falling in the face of low-priced imports and domestic competition from outside the region. April prices for hot-rolled coil on a delivered basis appear to have fallen by 25 dollars to 35 dollars per ton from their recent highs of 780 dollars to 810 dollars per ton (39 dollars to 40.50 dollars per hundredweight) for medium to large buyers, according to market sources.
