U.S. rebar and merchant bar product markets were on a downswing Wednesday as one mill cut tags, but just how far prices will drop is the key question. Gerdau Long Steel North America on Wednesday implemented a 15 dollars-per-ton (75-cent-per-hun-dredweight) reduction on transaction prices for reinforcing bar products, as well as published prices for most angles, channels, flats rounds and squares.
