Current status and prospects of the mechanization of crop production in Russia

摘要

An official Ministry of Agriculture survey, showing the parlous condition of Russia as regards farm machinery in the year 2002. The numbers of machines and equipment available in 2001 were 2-6% fewer than the previous year, and the pool of machineryis becoming older. The problems causing the crisis are outlined and remedies are discussed for restoring and expanding the pool of agricultural machinery in Russia.
