Automatic processes of die cleaning and caustic soda recovery for extrusion plants

Anew process for cleaning extrusion dies in a more ecological, faster and fully automatic way guarantees that the caustic soda solution used for dissolving the aluminium metal from the dies is always transferred into a holding tank before opening the cleaning treatment tank covers so that no caustic soda fumes can be released into the environment. During the cleaning phase the process is 'fume free' since hydrogen and caustic fumes are carried away via a hood and extractor and treated separately in a scrubber.
