Unless you were on another planet somewhere in outer space-and perhaps even then-you've undoubtedly heard about the tragedy that took place on the Virginia Tech campus (Blacksburg, VA) on Monday, April 16, 2007. A lone gunman shot and killed 5 faculty and 27 students, wounding several others, before taking his own life to end the massacre. All but two of the victims were in Norris Hall at the time, an engineering building that I called my "home away from home" during my entire career at Virginia Tech.
