Long-term studies that involve many investigators and require work with a wide range of cell types from many individuals present a daunting sample management challenge. The study of polygenic disease is an example of such a project. This article describes a compact, automated retrieval system, that provides easy access to frozen samples without the risk of uncertainty or confusion. [References: None]
