摘要

We developed a power plant trainingsimulator based on virtual reality (VR). Traditionalsimulator training was limited to operation in acentral control room (CCR) and training outside the CCRused a pseudo panel. We developed a compact,inexpensive training simulator realizing field spaceas virtual space and a fast display of large scale 3-D models, 3 D user interfaces (smooth walk-through),and the stereoscopic vision and sound effects. Thetrainee can train in field operations similar to thereal world, improving training effectiveness.
