High Efficiency Scroll Compressor 'MSC-CA Series' for Automotive Air-Conditioner

摘要

A new scroll compressor "MSC-CA Series" developed for automotive air conditioners. The shape of the scroll is called "profile" and is one of the most important design elements because it influences efficiency and reliability of the compressor. A new shape of the scroll called "A-profile" is adopted in MSC-CA Series. Each of the orbiting and fixed scrolls with A-profile has a step at its center, and enables both the increase in the compressor efficiency and the reduction in the stress at the center of the scrolls. Consequently the new scroll compressor with a-profile scrolls has achieved 15 percent higher efficiency compared with our conventional scroll compressor.
