WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE AUTHORS OF THE ARTICLE "Effect on Intraocular Pressure of Extraocular Muscle Surgery for Thyroid-Associated Ophthalmopathy" for corroborating the results in the original paper that de-scribed a reduction in intraocular pressure (1OP) following strabismus surgery and bringing the issue of IOP elevation secondary thyroid-associated orbitopathy to the forefront once again.Our findings likewise showed a significant reduction in IOP in upgaze following strabismus surgery (from 24.7 mm Hg to 16.9 mm Hg; P < .01).
