SOME ASPECTS OF THE LANDAU THEORY

摘要

The paper displays a short review of achievements in application of L. D. Landau's theory on phase transitions of the second kind for geological objects. In this field the theory is successfully developed by two English scientists: M. A. Carpenter and E. K. Salje (1985, 1994). It provides a unique possibility to describe all the versatility of equilibrium and nonequilibrium processes within crystals by a single equation. In future, application of the Landau theory to more wide circle of natural objects should become a reliable method of the geological history investigation.
