摘要

We established experimentally that friction resistance coefficients of a turbulent flow on the perforated surface with damping cavities can significantly be reduced (to 35 percent). We analyzed a mechanism for decrease of resistance and revealed the dependence of the degree of friction coefficient reduction on the ratio of the turbulence macroscale to the distance between perforated holes. We proposed a similarity equation characterizing friction resistance in the perforated tube with damping cavities.
