摘要

In this paper, we propose RPL based code dissemination with scope selection and code acquisition. The scope selection is challenging task since it is required to disseminate update codes to geographically separated sensors with lew energy consumption. Although conventional schemes address this challenge by deploying special nodes, e.g., the high power sensors or cluster heads in advance, it is impossible to predetermine the appropriate location of such nodes. Our scheme achieves better performance than the conventional schemes without the special nodes by employing RPL. We devise the routing metric of RPL so that few routes include a lot of destination sensors as possible and make the sensor excluded from the routes enable to obtain the code from the included sensor (Code acquisition). Various performance evaluation results have shown that the proposed protocol reduces the transmission count by 80% of the conventional protocols.
