We have developed low thermal conductivitycarbon containing refractories "ECONOS(Ecological New andOriginal products by Shinagawa) to prevent shell deformationand drop in molten steel temperature. Applying these newproducts to LF furnace linings has the effect of lowering shelltemperature, reducing electric power consumption, andshortening LF processing time.The new product is also more durable than the ordinary oneand is giving good results.
