THIS edition of Research Roundup outlines options for increasing water use efficiency at feedlots, highlighting the outcomes of the work that has been conducted for Meat & Livestock Australia by FSA Consulting to quantify feedlot water use, provide aframework for monitoring water usage and improve the efficiency of water use. Many lot feeders are looking at options to reduce their water consumption in the feedlot. For many this is a direct result of reduced access to water. For others it is an attempt to ensure water supplies are maintained for as long as possible, especially during periods of dry conditions and drought.
