THE Red Meat Advisory Council (RMAC) has appointed an independent chairman on August 1, 2010. Ross Keane was selected after an extensive selection process that commenced with national advertising in April. An independent recruitment consultant was employed to help manage the interview and selection process. ALFA looks forward to working with Mr Keane, who is well-known to many in the lot feeding sector. He has had considerable experience in the beef industry, having had direct involvement across thesectors of production (cattle, sheep and goats), lot feeding (cattle and lambs), processing (beef and small stock) and the stock and station agency area.
