As PART of chain of responsibility legislation, all those who transport animals are responsible for the welfare of the livestock and for effluent management during the journey. The cattle industry is encouraged to take responsibility for the proper preparation of livestock before transport to ensure that cattle arrive at their destination in the best possible condition, with the least possible impact on the community.
