摘要

BMI View: Projections that KMZ could produce 1mn b/d by 2015 are in line with BMI's view of a slowdown in Mexico's oil production decline. Oil production at Mexico's largest group of oil felds, the offshore Ku-Maloob-Zaap (KMZ) complex, could increase by up to 18% by 2015 according to an independent board member of state-run oil company Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex). Mexican oil production has been in freefall since 2004 on the back of declining volumes from the country's onetime fagship oil feld, Cantarell. BMI sees rising volumes from KMZ partially offsetting declining Cantarell production, slowing the overall rate of decline in Mexican oil production over the coming years.
