Ian Becker, former manager of the Enarra feedlot near Meandarra provided an entertaining insight into the potential to use working dogs to greater effect in the feedlot environment at last year's BeefEx industry conference. THE feedlot industry has recently come through some of its most uncertain times and many enterprises are likely to be wondering when this tough trend is going to break. I am sure all stakeholders in the industry have had to take a good hard look at their operations during the last 18 months, spending long hours analysing figures and exploring new ways to improve return on investment.
