Recent development in eddy viscosity modelling of turbulence

Eddy viscosity modelling is still a "standard" approach for industrial CFD applications for turbulent flows despite its serious deficiencies. Thus, a number of research studies, including the author's, have been recently made to improve models ofthis kind. This article reviews these efforts and suggests a future direction for tackling turbulent flows of industrial importance.
