Changes in processes of soil formation caused by reclamation measures and protection of soils against degradation

Drainage, irrigation and agroreclemation are known to influence deeply the moisture and temperature regimes in both mineral and peat soils. Beeing inadequately applied these reclamation measures make more active the soil degradation and cause negative effect on soil properties. In any case soil reclamation results in profound changes of native soil forming processes. This is why reclamation measures must be adequate to soil-ecological situation in the landscape. The reclamation effectiveness therefore is reached only when complete information about native soil forming processes and their anthropogenic changes is available.
