A new complete process technology of pork production using farm feed

This is a discussion considering pig meat production under the current conditions of economic decline of pig industry in Russia. Based on actual examples, complexes were considered producing 3000-6000 pigs annually in continuous batches, using natural mating, all in-all out housing system, 10%-12% sow herd culling rate after weaning (40% annually), 9.4 litter size, 122 kg slaughter weight at 680 g daily gain during finishing, and on-farm feed production (85% cereals and 15% leguminous). Aspects offarm mechanization are also considered.
