Influence of agroforest reclamation on availability and balance of mineral nutrients in soils and cereals of semidesert landscapes in the Transvolga region

The application of the integrated method of field diagnostics of plant nutrition in the Dzhanybek Experimental Station, Russia, showed that forest field-protecting belts exert both favourable and adverse effects on the supply and balance of mineralnutrients in soils and cereals of semiarid solonetzic complexes (Solonetz and meadow chestnut soils) and on the ecological conditions of ameliorated areas. The methods of optimization of plant nutrition are discussed.
