Demonstration of 10Gbit/s × 40CDM × 20TDM × 4WDM hybrid transmission over 100km with 0.42 bit/s/Hz spectral efficiency

320Gbit/s (10Gbit/s ×4OCDM×2OTDM×4WDM using polarization multiplexing) error free hybrid transmission over 100km with 0.42 bit/s/Hz spectral efficiency is experimentally demonstrated. Although the spectral efficiency of conventional OCDM based system is not good, it will be improved by using hybrid transmission format. 10Tbit/s class potential capacity of the OCDM based high granularity photonic network is described.
