Biological anthropology in American anthropologist

In the fall of 2012, Alan Goodman contacted me about the possibility of AA publishing the presidential address he gave at the 2007 meeting of the American Anthropological Association (AAA). Although AA occasionally publishes written versions of addresses by AAA presidents (e.g., Dominguez 2012), these usually appear within a few years after being presented. Even though Alan’s talk had taken place some time ago, I was delighted to be able to consider it for publication.
