野生メダ力の遺伝的多様性と飼育品種メダ力の遺伝的特徴

Genetic disturbance in wild populations of Medaka (Oryzias latipes species complex) has mainly resulted from the introduction of populations originating from commercial strains. I reviewed the genetic divergence of wild medaka populations and the genetic composition of commercial strains of medaka, especially orange-red type O. latipes (‘himedaka')here. All 'himedaka' populations consist of a high frequency of the B27 mitotype, an original mitotype of 'himedaka', and a low frequency of the B1 a mitotype, an introduced mitotype from wild populations in Okayama or Nara Prefectures.
