Increasing occurrence of stem and sawn wood blue-stain in the tree species Norway spruce (Picea abies [L.] KARST.) in Saxony [German]

Over the past few years reports from the forest districts and sawmills in Saxony on an increase of stem and sawn wood blue staining in the tree species Norway spruce (Picea abies [L.] KARST.) have been accumulating. Therefore distribution, causal agents and economical impacts of blue-stained spruce wood were investigated in the year 2000.
