The Basics of Casting Process Simulation. Casting Technology Synthesis Systems and their Difference from Casting Process Simulation Systems

The article is dedicated to one of the CAD subsystems - the process synthesis systems including graphic systems for creating computer geometric models or drawings (CAD systems) and software for the generation of process parameters. The technology synthesis systems are applicable to "typical" and worked-through processes. A universal software developed by professional programmers is proposed for using as a shell for the synthesis system. For designing real processes it is necessary to create a system adapted for conditions of specific production. Such adaptation can be done only by a plant's technologists united in a CAD team.
