The effect of various Ca- and Fe-containing additives on quartzite grinding upon their combined grinding is considered. Grindability of quartzite mixture with mineralizing additives and pure quartzite is almost the same which makes it possible tosimplify the process of Dinas refractory production due to introduction of the additives directly in the pipeline grinder in the course of the fine charge preparation thus stabilizing the properties of Dinas ware due to increased homogenization of thequartzite mass. A kinetic equation is derived which describes change in the content of the large-sized fraction upon combined grinding of quartzite with mineralizing additives. The properties of the samples obtained using combined grinding of quartzitewith limestine sifting and pyrite drosses match the requirements specified for Dinas ware used in the cockery.
