The effect of cold isostatic pressing (CIP) of molding MgO powder at 0.3 and 2.0 GPa on the properties of compact and ceramics is studied. It is shown that the density and strength of the compact are 65 and 80%, 10 and 55 MPa after CIP at 0.3 and2.0 GPa, respectively. Sintering of the ceramics proceeds for I,2, 4 and 8 h at I 600°C. It is found that for all sintering periods the density and strength of ceramics is higher at a compaction pressure of 2.0 GPa.
