DAIRY prospects are looking a bit better than they did back in the summer. In November, USDA projected the 2012 annual average all-milk price will fall in the $18.05-to-$18.95 range. Both ends of the range are up 30 cents from projections made in October. Granted, the range is well below the 2011 all-milk average of just over $20. But projections for 2012 are well above the $16.20 all-milk average for 2010 and the $12.83 average for 2009.
