High pressure plays a very important role on thematerial behavior. Especially under extra high pressure(>2Gpa),unknown and interesting phenomena would occur which cannot beexpected under normal pressure, and be utilized for thedevelopment of new materials.In this report, extra high pressure techniques are describedassociated with the pressurizing method, examples of the newmaterial development and current status of the numericalsimulation technology and its application to material design.
