Sensing technology for accidental spill of chemicals to water environment

On rivers, water quality defectives are often caused by careless oil discharge and unlawful waste abandonment. Fuji Electric has marketed acute toxicants monitors using a bioassay technique to automatically detect water quality defectives. Also an oil film sensor to detect oils is under development. In addition, we have marketed river water quality management systems that support centralized river water quality control and quick measures to manage the defectives. This paper introducesspecifications for the restyled acute toxicants monitor and examples of analyses of operation records and working conditions of the supplied monitors.
