Impact of early diagnosis and control of chronic respiratory diseases on active and healthy ageing: A debate at the European Union Parliament

A debate at the European Union Parliament was held on 13 November 2012 on the Impact of early diagnosis and control of chronic respiratory diseases on Active and Healthy Ageing. The debate was organized by the Region Languedoc-Roussillon under the auspices of the Cyprus EU Presidency (2012) (Fig. 1). It represents a follow-up of the priorities of the Polish EU Presidency (2011). The proceedings of the debate are summarized in this article.
