Condition-based diagnosis of complex process equipment using fuzzy-set knowledge representation models

An approach to solving the specific problems of condition based diagnosis of metallurgical equipment is considered. Most of information characterizing the equipment condition is inaccessible for direct measurement, and the measurands have a bigtime lag and correspond to narrow time-space regions. New fuzzy models of visual-linguistic interpretation are applied for solving the problems. The procedure described is used in the diagnosis subsystem of the automatized control system for steel melting process.
